Staying fresh: 30 days of avoiding grocery stores
Thu Aug 30, 2012
Good start. If you want to drop the pounds dump the grains, dairy and a few other items. In other words eat Paleo. Some people scoff at the idea, I did, but once you get used to not eating bread and pasta (takes about 15 to 30 days) it's easy. Health isn't sacrificed as long as you keep fruits and v …
Netflix customers viewing more TV shows, fewer flicks
Thu Jul 12, 2012

Tue Feb 14, 2012
Errr...US prosecuters can appeal an Appeals Court's decision to toss a case the same as is happening in Italy. It is not considered double jeapordy as the case is not being tried again. The same evidence initially used (which resulted in a guilty verdict) is being reviewed by successive layers of co …

Thu Feb 9, 2012
"You can serve the nation honorably in uniform but have to adhere to society's laws once you take the uniform off," Davis said. "Just because you served honorably in uniform doesn't mean you should have more rights and privileges as any other American or any other visitor to our country may enjoy." …
Former Ga. teacher apologizes for slavery math lesson
Fri Jan 20, 2012
We've all made boneheaded moves in our lives we fervently regret later. He's paid with his livelihood and chosen profession so I think we can forgive and move on. His apology is light years better than the P.R. sanitized, mass consumption, non-apologies we get from politicians, athletes and actors.
In Geek Squad City, dead PCs come back to life
Thu Jan 19, 2012
From all the articles I've read over the past month Best Buy won't be around in five years or less regardless of this PR human interest piece. 10, 15, 20 years ago Best Buy was the place to go for electronics. They hired "experts" or near enough to give you competent answers to technical questions a …
